Alright. I took the plunge.
But only because Matt said he'd do 'anything I wanted' if I did.
Damn, is he setting himself up. So much potential for mischief there.
Let's see...I need cuffs (wrist, thigh and ankle), a spreader bar, that under-mattress restraint straps thing, a blindfold, a few other things, and of course an outfit. You can't dominate a guy without looking awesome. That just violates the rules.
But I'm broke at the present, so I'll put a raincheck on it. See if I can come up with even more twisted fun ideas for Matt while I'm saving up my money.

WEDNESDSY 0040
Happy news. I'm getting braces.
The braces are top and bottom (by request - the back teeth at the top are, in my view, crooked, and they catch the inside of my mouth when I'm eating sometimes. It's very painful). The top ones will have wires and ceramic (practically invisible) and the bottom ones are full metal.
Both sets will be on for roughly 18 months, and they'll have to be adjusted several times because the crowns have to be brought forward first, and then the roots.
After that, I'll have a wire retainer (read: hard wire glued to the back of my teeth) for an undefined period of time - 2-3 months was recommended, but I'm going to play it safe and go with 6 months. Finally, I'll have a plastic retainer (like InvisAlign, sorta) that I'll have to wear for a day every 3 days, in order to keep my teeth from relapsing to their current fucked-up state.
How badly screwed-up are they? Well, my family has a history of narrow lower jaws - only on Dad's side though, Mum's side just has a history of problematic wisdom teeth (joy. Mine are already coming through and I'm only 15. Mum's were rotated slightly, and they stopped her from closing her mouth fully or chewing properly. I think Dad still had two of his wisdom teeth before he got his dentures).
Anyway, my incisors a fine - pointing inward a little, but otherwise fine. The next two teeth (on either side) are about two millimeters back in my mouth (if measuring from the crown - from the root, they're right behind). This is probably because, if I recall, those teeth came through before I lost the ones they were supposed to replace (one of them actually had to be removed by a dentist because it was so stubborn. Ironically, the same tooth in Dad's mouth was pulled by an inexperienced dentist and broke his jaw, resulting in his getting a metal plate put in to hold his jawbone together).
Oh, and I'm still considering asking if I can get my top incisors reshaped. They're about a millimetre longer than the surrounding teeth, and I think they look pretty crappy.
Did You Know - Tom Cruise, Prince William and P!nk all had braces. So I'm not the only one.
