TUESDAY 1202
Here's the map I've made up for 7 Days. It's a bit bleh-ish right now, but I'm working on it!
I'm also still working on a few other things - I don't intend to have any Possessed!Gordon in the fic (Ramon was enough) so I have to figure out how he could have escaped the demons, because in the older versions of the ending he drives right into them. Fortunately, there's plenty of convenient little dirt roads that he could escape down and detour through to get away - which is what Dean does as well, although he detours to the north, and I'm thinking of making Gordon detour south, and maybe not turn up at the Lincoln rendezvous.
The second issue is how to plan out the timespan. I originally intended to have everything happen in one night, but (even without stops at Cold Oak and the Wyoming Gate) it's a 16 hour round trip, and I've only given Dean 17 hours to change everything in. So I'm altering the timespan so that he'll save Sam, and due to injury the Hell Gate will end up waiting until the next day. But, becuse of the aforementioned injury, that leaves Dean no longer present at Azazel's death, which leaves Sam vulnerable. I'm thinking of having Ramon take Dean's place (and killing him off - not that I'm being racist, but he's just an OC, what does it matter?) which means that Sam's going to have to say the famous line.
Eh, that will probably work.

TUESDAY 1018
Got up at 4:50AM today. Had to play 54 Cymru Beats over and over at full blast to get The Unforgiven out of my head so I wouldn't get all depressed at that hour.
Gah, it's back! Evil song! Go away! I need Rammstein now.
Yay, Wohlt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen...uh...iTunes cut off the title there. Anyway...
Screw MapQuest, I'm using GoogleMaps now. I can do drive-to-coordinates. I've decided to dump the 7 Days map for a bit - making me confused - so at the moment I'm working on a route to take someone through every major city in Canada, the US, and Mexico without once crossing back over the route. It starts in San Jose and ends in Anchorage, and at the moment I'm stuck on San Diego. *eye roll* Typical me, get stuck...bleh.
Find815 updates in 2 hours and 8 minutes. Better be friggin' good, after last time...

MONDAY 1803
Agh. Having the devil of a time (pun intended!) with my Supernatural fic. Because I'm a stickler for accuracy on what little factuality there is in the show, I've decided to place Harvelle's Roadhouse in Nebraska (as per the episode where the tourists walk in with that T-shirt). I decided to put it near the border, and make the closest major city Lincoln. So far, so good.
Then, I tracked down Cold Oak (I thought it was in Iowa, but it's in South Dakota, and for some reason I said North Dakota instead). It's roughly halfway between Pierre and Chamberlain (the road, Pierre and Chamberlain form something of a right-angled triangle).I then found that Presho was even closer again, so I altered it thus. Now, the main problem: both Presho and Chamberlain aren't actually very big towns. Towns like this would probably have a hospital, but as I plan to do some serious damage to Dean (sorry, but he'll be taking a knife wound to the chest. Not heart, thankfully, only lung, but that's still not funny in any situation) I needed a bigger town with (probably) a bigger and better-equipped hospital. So that makes Pierre a better end to the route.
The problem? I can only roughly guess time for the trip anyway (Lincoln to Presho is a six-hour drive which is a rough guide), and the source code for Super Wiki's page on AHBL2 indicated that Cold Oak is in the middle of a right-angled triangle formed by Pierre, the intersection of the I-90 and US-83, and Chamberlain/Presho. MapQuest won't let me do a 'drive-to-coordinates' so I can't figure out how long it would be to go between Cold Oak's location and Presho. Presho LOOKS closer, but it seems to be further away (Presho to Pierre is 51 minutes, Chamberlain to Pierre....
Wait a minute, I stand corrected. Presho is closer, because Presho to Pierre is just under an hour, and Chamberlain to Pierre is an hour and a half. Okay. Well, that makes it a definite run of Presho-Cold Oak-Pierre.
Okay, looks like things will go fine.
Anyway, gotta go - making salt'n pepper squid and tofu for dinner, with salad. Talk more in a bit.
